This contemporary vacation cabin is designed for a lot with a view such as oceanfront property. Ceilings 11’ tall and glass surrounding the home lend to spaciousness while affording views in all directions. Inside, you’ll find the basic necessities, an open living/dining are with kitchenette designed for a space saving, under-the-counter refrigerator, a laundry closet for a stacked washer/dryer unit and a full bath situated at the center of the home. Two generously sized bedrooms accommodate either a large bed or grouping of bunk beds for the kids. Notice the 10’ overhangs offering shade and protection from the elements. The construction of this vacation home is designed to minimize the weight of building materials allowing construction in remote locations. Ideal for a romantic getaway, a weekend with the kids or a place to hang out with friends, this unique beach house plan is a one-of-a-kind gem!The exterior walls consist of 6x6 steel columns and storefront windows (double-glazed, fixed glass transoms.) The foundation is an insulated wood floor system on piers. The roof consists of post and beam support system with the actual roof deck as a structural, insulated panel with single membrane roofing over it.
