About Beach House Plans & Coastal Home Floor Plans...Beach house plans and Coastal home plans are designed for shoreline living. Typically, a beach home plan has one or two stories with the main living areas raised one level above the ground and a parking area beneath it. In most cases, coastal house plans and beach home plans are built on pier foundations to accommodate the rising tides of oceanfront property preventing flooding. Being raised one level, coastal home plans and beach house plans allow water to flow underneath the home without any risk to the structure or the items inside. Most beach house plans enjoy large windows strategically placed to maximize the coastal or shoreline view. Large decks and porches further enhance coastal house plans and beach home plans delivering an outdoor living space. Some Waterfront floor plans and Vacation home designs share similar characteristics. |
