About this plan style...Beach house plans and Coastal home plans are generally one or two levels and can vary in size. These floor plans are sometimes referred to as stilt house plans because they are typically built on pier foundations. The main living areas are raised one level and a parking area is located underneath the home. With these waterfront floor plans, this type of foundation accommodates the potential rising tides of oceanfront property or possible flooding when a river, lake or creek overflows its banks. |
