Plans: Narrow Lot House Plans

Narrow lot house plans, sometimes called zero lot home plans, are economically designed to make efficient use of available property and interior space. Perfect for a narrow strip of property, these designs feature a small footprint with minimal measurements for the width of the home. The floor plans in this collection feature a maximum width of 40 feet. Having an elongated, or long and narrow layout, there is no limit to the depth of narrow lot home plans. They are typically designed for higher density zoning areas where homes are built closer together. Usually one or two levels, these small house plans feature open living areas free of walls and barriers providing the look and feel of larger living spaces. Generally, with single-story designs, a long hall leads the bedrooms clustered at one end of the home offering privacy from the living areas. When building on property with limitations, square footage and living space is easily added by building up instead of out, creating a comfortable and functional two-story layout while saving money. In this case, bedrooms are usually situated on the second floor enjoying privacy from the living areas. Narrow lot house plans can also be found with the Ranch home plans, Small and Affordable home designs and Two-Story house plans.
